Steps to making a T-Shirt Quilt by MacyFoxQuilts
1. Lay out shirts to see what you might include.
2. Wash shirts on gentle with little detergent and NO fabric softener, dry with NO softener sheets.
3. Cut to separate fronts, backs, and sleeves.
4. Lay out design again.
5. Iron on fusible light-weight woven stabilizer.
6. Cut to size, remember to add 1/2" for seams.
7. Lay out yet again.
8. Sew blocks together.
9. Layer with batting and backing.
10. Quilt as desired.
11. Trim.
12. Bind.
13. Eat macarons.
Pricing
Listed below are prices for two styles of T-shirt quilts: with and without sashing. This price includes all of the supplies (batting, backing, sashing fabric, thread, binding, and border fabric if requested). T-Shirts are cut at a 12” finished square. Sashing is cut at a 3” finished width. If you would like those measurements changed just let me know. I can use any cotton fabric that you would like for the sashing and borders, or you may supply your own sashing and/or border fabric. Contact me if you would like to choose your own color for the backing.
Block Shirts
Throw - $300 - 25 Shirts (5x5) - 60” x 60”
Twin - $400 - 42 Shirts (6x7) - 72” x 84”
Full - $500 - 49 Shirts (7x7) - 84” x 84”
Queen - $600 - 64 Shirts (8x8) - 96” x 96”
King - $800 - 72 Shirts (9x8) - 108” x 96”
You can add 3” to 6” borders to any Memory Quilt for an additional $30.
Don’t have the exact number of shirts? No problem! I will work with what you have. I can add fabric blocks or cut blocks to make it all even out.
Do you have smaller shirts or scarves? I can make that work as well.

or $375 - 20 Shirts (4x5, plus sashing) - 57” x 72”
or $400 - 25 Shirts (5x5, plus sashing) - 72” x 72”
Twin - $450 - 30 Shirts (5x6, plus sashing) - 72” x 87”
Full - $550 - 36 Shirts (6x6, plus sashing) - 87” x 87”
Queen - $650 - 49 Shirts (7x7, plus sashing) - 102” x 102”
King - $850 - 56 Shirts (8x7, plus sashing) - 117” x 102”
